Our Culture and Values
We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive culture that benefits every person at every level of the business. We bring together a multitude of perspectives and backgrounds to create a diverse team whose culture is based firmly on collaboration and respect.
DRS is built on the core principles of doing the right thing, playing your part, and choosing growth. These values guide everything we do at DRS, and help us to support each other while delivering exceptional, industry-leading service to our clients.
Activities & Events
We offer a wide range of activities and events that are available to everyone within DRS, including:
• Coffee mornings
• Movie nights
• Bake off events
• Book club
• Pub quizzes
• Murder mysteries
• Yearly Christmas and Summer gatherings
We also encourage our team members to share their own ideas for future events.
Hear From Our Team
An essential component of creating a truly great company culture is giving our team members the opportunity to make their voices heard, and their opinions valued.
We asked team members across the entirety of DRS to share their perspectives on our company culture and how it has impacted them during their time with us.
This is what they had to say:
Culture Club
Culture Club is a group of consultants and team leads across our two UK offices who act as a “voice” for DRS employees and a sounding board for our HR team and Directors. The Club provides monthly feedback on companywide policies as well as discussing new ideas on how to enhance culture at DRS. This might be through evaluating training sessions and opportunities to develop our employees’ technical and theoretical knowledge of the market, but it also includes setting up charity initiatives, coffee mornings, and office socials. Culture Club participants rotate to give a wider range of DRS employees the chance to give their opinion and be part of the decision-making process.
Recent culture club topics include:
• Volunteering at local charities in the Newcastle area
• Discussing the format of weekly company calls
• Merits of team-specific and company-wide training programs
• Engaging with local university law societies
